Gourmet Pizza

Your Favourite Pizza Delivery

Arguably, there are few better than Melbourne for dining out for a fine pizza and if you want a supreme gourmet delivered to your door, then you need to go no further. Pizza delivery is one of the most loved ways to get a feed in front of your TV or spend time with your friends without the cooking process. As one of Australia’s favorite take away foods, pizza has also become a very popular restaurant cuisine with thousands of slices being served daily all over Australia.

Annually, the global pizza industry is worth $30 Billion. Melbourne takes care of its fair share in the Australian market and certainly has established a massive foothold in the pizza delivery market.

How Do We Compare In The Pizza Consumption Stakes?

World wide, Australia is yet to prove its worth in the pizza consumption stakes. Especially to the super hungry American people who stand head and crust above the rest in pizza consumption. Here are some interesting statistics from the American pizza consumers:

  • 94% of the US population eats pizza.
  • Americans eat 350 slices of pizza per second, or 100 acres per day.
  • The USA has over 60,000 pizza parlours.
  • Pizzarias represent 17% of all restaurants in the USA.
  • On average, an American citizen eats 46 pizza slices per year.
  • One third of American pizza eaters prefer pepperoni.
  • Over 250 Million pounds of pepperoni is consumed annually in the USA.

Pizza DeliveryAs you can see, Australia has got a long way to go in the consumption stakes. Sometimes, bigger isn’t better and here at Melbourne Pizza Delivery, we will prove to you that the best pizza is right here at home in the heart of Australia’s Restaurant Capital.

We order from Jessie’s Pizza in North Road, Oakleigh – I have never been disappointed – just a little thank you to Jessie’s for bringing down the noise level of my kids once they have eaten the delicious pizza from Jessie’s

  10. My favourite pizza place is based in High St. Thornbury called Pizza Farro. I like it because they use spelt flour for their bases and a variety of toppings and spelt flour is so much better for you than ordinary processed white flour. They also have gluten free options. The atmosphere is relaxed with 100s of rolling pins hanging from the beams above and there are kids toys to play with. Highly recommend them for service and taste, I just don’t know if they delivery though.
